The Miniature Farm, Milton                                                             

Walking and grooming Miniature horses | 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm | Visit  The Miniature Farm farm and help to walk and groom the miniature horses! Dress prepared for the barn and fields. Donations accepted

Philo Ridge Farm, Charlotte                                                                                                           

Family activities at Philo Ridge Farm! | 10:00 am & 3:00 pm | Philo Ridge Farm is excited to be a part of Vermont Open Farm Week and to celebrate, they have activities for the whole family! Stop by Philo Ridge Farm and take a guided tour, meet their famous Belted Galloway Cattle, play some classic yard games, and enjoy music from Mister Chris at the week’s end. Their Farm Market will be open daily from 8am to 3pm for meals, snacks and refreshments! Each tour is about 30 minutes; free admission.

Saturday, August 18th

Pitchfork Farm, Burlington                                                                                                   

Crop Mob | 9:00 am – 12:00 pm |Join us for a volunteer work party with Rob and his crew! If you’re lucky, you’ve tasted some of their organic veggies at area restaurants or picked some up in our produce section. Now’s your chance to get your hands dirty and help out with the summer harvest. We will be weeding and thinning fall beets and carrots among other projects.  Light snacks will be provided. Please come prepared with appropriate layers, sturdy shoes, work gloves, and water. City Market Member Workers can earn hours for their time.

Sunday, August 19th

Huntington River Vineyard, Huntington                                                                                 

Delicious dinner by an outstanding chef paired with our wines! | 4:00 pm – Dusk |Delicious dinner by an outstanding chef paired with our wines! Chris and Friends at Philo Ridge Farm for Little Farmers| 10:00 am – 10:45 am & 11:30 am – 12:15 pm| Bring your little farmers to the Commons Barn at Philo Ridge Farm for a fun morning of music and exploration, featuring music from Mister. Chris and Friends!  Mister Chris and Friends emphasizes children’s experience and expression and invites young children to play, explore, and learn through music. $5 for adults, free for kids under 12 years old. After the music, all are welcome to explore the farm, visit with the animals, and talk with staff about life on the farm. Rain or shine, there are a limited number of tickets so advanced tickets are encouraged!
