Last night’s weather balloon launched here from the office measured a 500 mb temperature of -40.1C. This level is about 17,000 feet above the ground. Per the @NWSSPC climatology, this is a new record for the month of May, breaking the old record by 3.4 degrees C!pic.twitter.com/KiWsjPZ0TK
