How Nanowires Lose Their Superconductivity

Research by UVM scientist Adrian Del Maestro revealed the microscopic process by which metal wires lose their superconductivity—pointing toward a new class of efficient technologies. The study, published in the journal Nature Physics, was covered by the Dutch edition of the global science magazine, New Scientist.
